Poetic Text: You

On warm summer nights
I think about you
Want you in between each of my breaths
Fancifully we saunter, in splendour, in love

On warm Sunday nights
I get to live in your arms
In my wildest imaginings you never leave
And although you always do
I understand you
And i pray you understand me

Through the bitterness of Monday
You lie elsewhere
I always want you
But most times you want her
You want her all throughout the cold nights
You want her
And all I get are warm summer nights… With you

Poetic Text: My Business

My business is complex
long winding stealth
crevassed in places untold
gorged and crannied
you would never fully understand

My business is intricate
multipart and composite
it walks and breaths airs of mystery
deep and sordid
lies telling life
that’s my business

My business is convoluted
in tiny pockets, adventure aplenty
Between the thighs of a joyous fate
lives the many myriads of my trade
within my whims and fancies
I am more than a one dimensional being

My business is mine
a secret so close to my bosom
the only way in lives in…
cracks, clefts, holes, splits and hollows
that promise never to allow no one
not even you inside it
you would never fully grasp the sophistication of my business
so mind yours and I’ll do the same

Poetic Text: Conflict and Peace

I hope this piece makes sense. It’s written as two different texts but, functions as one and is used to illustrate one central idea.

Conflict
Find comfort in the solace of disdain
Speak of the heart’s sweet contempt
The battle lines are drawn, surrender or wage war
Let the mind sing joy
And the limbs climb the walls of desolate jubilation

Peace
We struggle
Pull at the ugly face of bitter feeling
Grind hard the devastation acquired from desperation
Pound, strike, clobber another man’s elation
All for the sake of a peaceful aggravation

Letter to my Demons

Dear demons

Gently embrace me with your sweet caress
Place beneath my anguish the taste of a joyous revelation
Wrap me tightly with the feeling of adoration

The sounds of the strife beat a drum that reminds me bitterly
of a sweet voice I once heard calling from the heavens
Absolution is irrelevant when you hold me firmly in your arms
Singing in whispers love songs that soothe the hurt, even if just for a moment
I call out to you, Give in
Cause the scars you inflict on my forever will never heal

Still I love you
When you lay beside me
Carving ugliness inside me
Leaving the markings of scorn plastered horridly on my limping soul
When you have me screaming your name in deep despair
Violently tearing down my joy and happiness
Demanding I carry your last name proudly

Wide spread zeal has me succumbing
Bowing merrily to serve your needs
I’ll do anything to see you smiling
I’ll tell a lie, steal a heart, shatter dreams, kill a soul even if it were my own
You lead me wrong and still I love you
